The megalithic complex was investigated in 1994 by an expedition of the Gorno-Altai state University under the leadership of V. I. Soenov. The facility is located in the Chui steppe 20 km to the South-West of the village of Kosh-Agach road from Kosh-Agach – Jazz-Thor 2 km North-West of R. Tarhata.
The tarhatinsky megalithic complex consists of stacked in a circle of stones, rounded boulders and stone formations of varying size from 0.5 m to 6 m in diameter. The largest blocks of size 6x5x4 m. the Inner diameter of the building is 60 m.
On the rocks facilities include petroglyph composition. In the course of their study, it was determined that the facility was constructed in the bronze age, or at least no later than the late bronze age.
The process of construction of object is not clear enough and therefore, given that the nearest exit of bedrock is located 12 km North-West of the megalithic complex, one can propose two hypotheses: 1. All the rocks brought by a glacier, then arranged the people according to the plan (or only the big rocks brought by the glacier, and smaller – brought by the people during construction), 2. All the stones were brought by people. Continue reading
One of the most beautiful Gothic churches in Europe, St. Vitus Cathedral is visible from any part of Prague. Before him pales all other destinations in the Czech Republic the Gothic style, so it is unique and unrepeatable.
St. Vitus Cathedral: history
This colossal structure has no analogues in the world not only for its Gothic architecture, but primarily its history. You know at least one building, which was built over seven centuries? Now you can see: the Cathedral of St Vitus Cathedral began in the mid-fourteenth century and was not completed even to the XX century. Historians distinguish several stages of his storied construction.
Stage I: 1344-1419, the Initiators of the construction of the Cathedral was made by the Archbishop Ernest and king of Bohemia Charles IV. The temple was originally conceived as a place for the coronation, and the family vault of the Royal Treasury. Due to the Hussite wars, the construction was halted.
Stage II: 1490-1510, Czech king Vladislav Jagiellon wanted to finish the construction of the great Cathedral and committed him to ratu Benedict, a talented architect, but the process was suspended due to lack of funds. Continue reading
The very first pyramids are in Sakarya, this is the famous step pyramid. Historians do not doubt, that it was built in several stages, first made a small Mastaba in the form of a trapezoid and then increased in size and shape of the pyramid and on the South side of the clearly visible stages we’ll look at the same pyramid from the other East side
This section of masonry is strictly different from what is on the main pyramid here is very flat rectangular blocks carefully stacked without mortar and slightly above normal backfill fine crushed stone mortar ,clay and the fact that at hand isn’t it strange from a quality construction at a high level suddenly came to the most primitive methods? this suggests that the builders of the Pharaoh did not lose their skills and just not have them …But there was a more ancient building which was already partially destroyed. builders paleino collected from fallen blocks are quickly ended and then the workers began to build as best they could. clay mortar was laid a small, roughly worked stones .
